New students are expected to attend the On Iowa! small groups Monday, August 17 - Saturday, August 22. You will receive your small group assignment when you check-in to the On Iowa! program during move-in. New students moving in to th residence halls will receive On Iowa! materials at that time. New students living off-campus and new transfer students should check-in to On Iowa! in the Iowa Memorial Union.
On Iowa! will help you become familiar with the University of Iowa community and resources prior to the first day of classes. You’ll have opportunities to explore campus resources and the Iowa City community, think about your goals for the semester, and talk about what it means to thrive as a Hawkeye, both in-person and virtually.
During On Iowa!, you can participate in a variety of activities—including small group sessions, virtual late night programming, fitness classes, resource information sessions, scavenger hunts, a facts and folklore tour, and more!
Please note:
Your acceptance fee covers all costs of attending On Iowa! – there is no additional charge. Participation is expected of all new students in the small group sessions.
